  • 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
  • 1 tablespoon tomato paste

  2. Add the beef broth and cook, stirring, about 3 to 5 minutes or until thickened. Season with salt and pepper. Add the mixed vegetables and stir to combine. Remove from the heat.
  3. Spoon the mashed potatoes over the top of the filling to completely cover.
  4. In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush or spoon the mixture over the mashed potatoes.

Sounds great BUT shepard's pie is made with ground lamb. If, like here, you make it with ground beef, it's cottage pie.

I still think it's horrible that recipes here are not printable without a general print page which prints ads, etc.

There are so many recipes now called Shepherd's pie made with ground beef. I don't eat lamb, so this is right up my alley. You could definitely substitute ground lamb for the beef. We are sorry you are having trouble printing the recipes. We are working on that!

Shepherds Pie uses ground lamb, when using ground beef it becomes Cottage Pie.
