  • Use almonds, cashews, walnuts or pecans in place of the hazelnuts, or try a variety of nuts. 

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Combine the oats, hazelnuts, cocoa powder and salt in a bowl. 
  2. In another bowl, combine the coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla and cinnamon. Stir into the oat mixture until combined well. Pour onto a baking sheet that 's been lined with parchment paper. 
  3. Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven for about 20 minutes, stirring halfway through. 
  4. Add the coconut and cook about 5 more minutes.
  5. Remove from the oven and cool. Stir in the chocolate chips. Store in an airtight container.
