  • You can use ground beef or ground turkey as a substitute for ground chicken.
  • Regular or gluten-free flour can be substituted for the almond flour. 

Here's how to make it: 

  1. In a bowl, add the ground chicken, almond flour, Parmesan cheese, garlic, onion, egg and chopped parsley. Season with salt and pepper. Mix until well combined. Using your clean hands, shape spoonfuls of the meat mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  2. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the meatballs while stirring until golden brown and cooked through, about 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Add the barbecue sauce. Simmer for a few minutes more, stirring frequently to coat all the meatballs with the sauce.
