The hot dog chili sauce is made with ground beef, onion, tomato sauce, mustard, chili powder, garlic powder, onion powder, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce and beef broth. All the simple ingredients are simmered on the stovetop for about 10 minutes. Try this recipe with ground turkey or ground chicken instead of ground beef!

Serve this quick ground beef hot dog chili beside a slow cooker full of wieners and a basket of hot dog buns. Set out all your favorite hot dog toppings (yellow mustard, pickle relish, chopped onions, shredded cheese, sliced jalapenos, etc.) and let your guests build their own hot dogs. How fun!

Ingredients

• 1 pound ground beef
• 1 onion, diced fine
• 8 ounces (1 can) tomato sauce
• 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
• 1/2 - 1 tablespoon tablespoon chili powder
• 1 teaspoon garlic powder
• 1 teaspoon onion powder
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
• 1/2 cup beef broth

Here's how to make it: 

1. Brown the ground beef and onion in a skillet, breaking it up into very small pieces (you could use a potato masher). 
2. Add the remaining ingredients. (Like beans in your chili? Add a can of rinsed and drained black beans or pinto beans. For a gluten-free chili, make sure your Worcestershire sauce is free of gluten. Check the label.) Simmer for about 10 minutes. (This recipe can easily be doubled for your tailgating and football parties.) Store the hot dog chili in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days.
