Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients

Slurry

Sauce

Chicken and Vegetables

  • 1 pound boneless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chopped red bell pepper
  • 1/2 cup chopped green bell pepper
  • 1 onion, cut into large pieces
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds, for garnish (optional)

Here's how to make it:

  1. Combine the slurry ingredients in a small bowl. Set aside.
  2. To make the sauce, combine all the ingredients. Bring to a boil. Add the cornstarch slurry. Reduce heat to low and cook about 5 minutes. Turn off the heat.
  3. Put the cornstarch in a plastic zipper bag. Season with salt and pepper. Add the chicken and shake to coat.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok. Add the chicken and cook until browned and cooked through, about 6 to 7 minutes. Remove to a plate.
  5. Add the red and green bell pepper and onion. Cook until crisp-tender, about 5 minutes. Return the chicken to the pan.
  6. Add the sauce and cook for about 2 minutes or until thickened. Garnish with sesame seeds, if desired.
