Love this recipe!
Wtf
That chicken is burnt.

I know exactly how it tastes. And the word to describe the flavor is "acrid."

That's what happens when you take a high fat content food like chicken thighs and COAT IT IN SUGAR. The thighs naturally want to turn crispy with the skin. But you choke them with a thick coating of sugary gel. And then bake it at a temperature sufficient to burn the sugar.

This recipe screams "I don't know what I'm doing." And the picture you used for the article is 100% certified proof that is true. You have burnt sugar and charred skin, because you f-ed up.

I will eat charred and burnt chicken. It doesn't taste great, but I'll eat it anyway. But I will not eat burnt chicken covered in burnt sugar. That's gross. This entire recipe is disgusting.

Well, hello rude sad little person.
We're here to relax & look at recipes.
You are obviously here because you got lost from your mommy. She likely skipped out on purpose.
Go back to your sad little studio & drink yourself to sleep. Finger painting tomorrow! Yay you!

I submitted this recipe, Wtf . It is one of my daughter's favorite recipes. That chicken is absolutely perfect charred like that. Not burnt. If you don't like the recipe, that's cool. But please be respectful with your language here. You can have an opinion ( I stress the word opinion) in a constructive, respectful manner. All this talk about this recipe and the Holy Yum recipe has made me crave it. Going to make it this weekend. Will enjoy every charred bite. If you would like to share some of your recipes here, please submit them. I'd love to see the types of dishes you make.

Whoever told you to just be yourself gave you terrible advice. You don't cook much do you? There are a variety of chicken recipes using mustard and maple syrup. You'll be shocked to know that there are actually some chicken recipes that use mustard and honey!! Can't wait to see what you post on those sites.

Wondering how this would work in a crock pot? Thanks ahead for any input!

I've never made this in a crock pot. I'm guessing you could, but not sure how long to tell you to cook it. Chicken recipes are usually cooked on high for 3 or so hours, but again, I've never done cooked this recipe in a slow cooker. If you try it, please share your tips with us!
