Mahi mahi, also known as dolphinfish, is a flaky whitefish that can stand up to a lot of flavors. This easy blackened mahi mahi recipe is quick to make and great served with asparagus and rice or mashed potatoes.

Here's how to make it:

  • 4 mahi mahi fillets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice

Seasoning 

  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 - 1/2 teaspoon ground cayenne

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Combine the seasoning ingredients in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. Season the fish on all sides with the seasoning. 
  3. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the fish and cook until golden on both sides and cooked through, about 3 to 4 minutes per side. Drizzle with the lemon juice. Serve immediately.
