20-Minute Sticky Chicken Stir-fry Recipe Is a Winner Dinner Poultry Dinner

Think sticky chicken is always baked? Think again! Sticky and sweet, this easy Asian chicken stir-fry recipe is on the table in about 20 minutes.

Serve this easy chicken recipe with white rice or fried rice and egg rolls. The leftovers are great for lunch the next day.

Ingredients

  • 3 - 4 chicken breasts or 6 boneless chicken thighs, cut into bite-sized pieces 
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika

Sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil 
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup
  • 1 tablespoon rice wine vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons sweet chili sauce
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar

Here's how to make it: 

  1. Combine the cornstarch, flour, garlic powder and paprika in a shallow bowl. Put the eggs in another bowl. 
  2. Heat the oil in a skillet or wok. Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Dip the chicken into the egg and then into the flour mixture. Add to the hot oil and cook until browned on both sides and cooked through, about 6 to 7 minutes. Remove chicken to a paper towel.
  3. Add all of the sauce ingredients to the skillet. Bring to a boil and cook until it reduces and thickens, about 3 to 4 minutes.
  4. Put the chicken back into the skillet. Toss to coat.
