We like to keep a container of protein balls or energy balls available at all times. This easy two-ingredient honey and turmeric energy bites recipe is fantastic. The health benefits of turmeric and health benefits of manuka honey are vast and well researched. Turmeric in known for its inflammation-reducing qualities. Manuka honey is said to be able to treat wound infections and burns, soothe a sore throat or cough and aid in digestive health.
Not all honey is the same. Manuka honey is native to New Zealand and is produced by bees that pollinate the flower Leptospermum scoparium (L.scoparium), commonly known as the Manuka bush. According to Healthline, "With its potent antibacterial properties, people traditionally use Manuka honey for wound healing, soothing sore throats, preventing tooth decay and improving digestive issues."
This easy no-bake turmeric and honey energy ball recipe combines both of these healthy ingredients. The balls are simply ground turmeric and manuka honey that is rolled into very small balls. You can roll the energy balls in other healthy ingredients like ground cinnamon, cocoa powder, chia seeds, chopped nuts, flaked coconut, matcha powder or sesame seeds, if desired.
Store these two-ingredient honey and turmeric snack bites in the freeze for snacking throughout the day.

Ingredients
- 1/3 cup ground turmeric
- 3 tablespoons manuka honey
Optional Coatings
Here's how to make it:
- Combine the turmeric and honey. Mix well.
- Roll into small balls. (The number you get will depend on how big you make the balls.)
- If desired, roll in the optional coatings.
- Put the energy balls on a baking sheet and freeze about 2 hours.
- Remove the balls from the baking sheet and put into an airtight container. Store in the freezer. This recipe an easily be doubled or tripled.
