It's National French Fry Day! If you're a french fry lover who has to dunk those crispy fried potatoes into a dip, then you're going to love this easy fry sauce recipe. Fry sauce is simply ketchup and mayonnaise. That's it.

No nee for a shopping list for this two-ingredient recipe, because you probably already have ketchup and mayonnaise in your refrigerator. The two ingredients are mixed together on a ratio of 1 to 1, which makes it so easy to double or triple the recipe for get-togethers or cookouts.

If you like things spicier, add some hot sauce to this simple fry sauce recipe. Once you've dipped your fries into this sauce, there's no going back to regular ketchup. And why stop at fries? This simple sauce is great on a burger, too.

Recipe Notes

  • For a spicy fry sauce, add desired amount of hot sauce.
  • Season the fry sauce with salt and black pepper, if desired. Keep in mind that mayonnaise and mustard have high sodium, so you may want to skip the salt.

Here's how to make it:

  1. Combine the ketchup and mayonnaise in a bowl. Mix well.
  2. If using hot sauce, add it until desired heat level is reached.

Love this! In Puerto Rico, we call this sauce simply Mayo-Ketchup (with a Spanish accent, LOL). Whenever I come back home and it's not readily available, plain ketchup seems downright boring. Thank you for the easy recipe!

Going to make some air-fried french fries tonight (it's National French Fry Day!). And yes, making this sauce, too. Yum! I have been dipping my fries in sriracha ketchup. So good.
