It's kind of crazy that a recipe with just one ingredient (we won't count the butter) can make breakfast so much more special. These homemade hash browns are cooked in your waffle iron, so they get super crispy. Dreaming about breakfast right now, aren't you?

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 6 to 9 minutes
Total Time: 11 to 14 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • 2 russet potatoes, scrubbed, shredded and squeezed dry
  • butter

Here’s how to make them:

  1. Season the grated potatoes with salt and pepper.
  2. Butter the waffle iron and preheat to medium.
  3. Add the grated potatoes to the waffle iron, piling high. Close the waffle iron and cook about 6 to 9 minutes, or until browned and crispy.

Say what? I'm always amazed by what you can make in a waffle iron. And why does everything taste better when you do? Ha!
