Ingredients
- 1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef
- 1 egg
- 3 ounces feta cheese
- 1 small bunch parsley, chopped (about 1/4 cup)
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 tablespoon butter
Tomato Cream Sauce
- 1 1/4 cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 small bunch parsley, chopped (about 1/4 cup)
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
Optional Ingredients
- fresh mushrooms, sliced
- 1 onion, chopped
Here's how to make it:
- Combine the ground beef, egg, cheese and chopped parsley. Season with salt and black pepper. Form into eight patties.
- If adding mushrooms and onions, cook them in a little olive oil in a skillet until soft. Season with salt and pepper. Remove to a plate and set aside.
- Cook the patties over medium-high heat in the olive oil and butter for about 10 minutes, or until browned.
- Add the whipping cream and tomato paste to the pan when the patties are almost cooked through. Bring to a simmer. (If you cooked mushrooms and onions, add them back to the pan.) Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Sprinkle with the chopped parsley. Serve. Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge.
