Easter Rice Krispies Treats Recipe: Easter Dessert Couldn't Get Any Easier Holidays Desserts

If you're short on time but want a fun Easter treat everyone will love, try these spring-ified Rice Krispies treats! Rice Krispies treats are always a crowd pleaser. 

Make your basic Rice Krispies treats recipe by melting butter in a large pot. Add the marshmallows and stir until completely melted and smooth. Remove from the heat and stir in the puffed rice cereal. Pour the mixture into a 13x9-inch baking pan and use buttered hands to press the mixture down. While it is still warm, press the colored candies onto the top. Let the treats cool completely before cutting into squares. 

Don't have Easter M&Ms? You could also use pastel sprinkles or crushed up Robin's Eggs. How fun! This is a simple snack or dessert to serve on Easter Day!

Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cups mini marshmallows
  • Easter M&Ms

Here's how you make it:

  1. Melt the butter in a large pot. Add the marshmallows and stir until melted.
  2. Remove from heat and add in the cereal. Mix well.
  3. Pour into a 13x9-inch pan and use buttered hands to press. 
  4. While still warm, press the M&Ms onto the top so they stick. 
  5. Cool and cut into squares.
