Is there anything as good as dipping sliced fresh bread into an olive oil bread dip? Not in my opinion there isn't. While the main player is the same in all olive oil bread dip recipes – olive oil – the co-star ingredients can vary. This simple bread dip does not use any vinegar, so the olive oil flavor really shines!

To make this budget-friendly Italian recipe you only need a handful of simple ingredients from your pantry and spice rack. Here is your short shopping list for this gluten-free bread dip: olive oil (a good-quality olive oil is recommended for this recipe), dehydrated garlic (adds some crunch), dried Italian seasoning, parsley flakes, sea salt and black pepper. If you like some spicy flecks of flavor in your olive oil bread dip, grab the jar of crushed red pepper flakes, too. Be sure to read about the health benefits of olive oil.
Variations: I love the crunch dehydrated garlic adds to the appetizer bread dip, but if you prefer you can use fresh garlic. Cheese loves could add some grated Parmesan cheese before serving. Check out the health benefits of Parmesan cheese.
Set out a bowl of this Mediterranean bread dip with slices Italian bread, baguettes, French bread or even with a bowl of homemade croutons for dipping. The bread dip is also delicious drizzled over a salad with a splash of your favorite vinegar.
