Pork chops are on the dinner menu often at my house. Pork chops are a budget-friendly ingredient, easy to cook and can be cooked in so many different ways. This one-pan sticky honey-soy glazed pork chops recipe is a new favorite. The pork chops cook in one pan with minimal ingredients and taste amazing. The Asian-inspired glaze the pork cooks in coats the outside with sweet and salty deliciousness.

You only need six simple ingredients to make this high-protein, one-pan recipe. Here is what you'll need to gather from your fridge and pantry for this pork recipe: thick-cut bone-in or boneless pork chops (read about the health benefits of protein), olive oil, fresh garlic, soy sauce, honey and apple cider vinegar. If you want to spice things up, grab some crushed red pepper flakes, too.

Cooking Tip: If you are on a gluten-free diet, use tamari instead of soy sauce.

Ingredients

• 4 pork chops, thick-cut (bone-in or boneless)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil 
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/4 cup soy sauce (I used low-sodium soy sauce)
• 1/4 cup honey
• 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
• crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Here's how to make it: 

1. Season the pork chops with salt and black pepper.
2. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add the pork chops and cook until seared on one side, about 3 minutes.
3. Flip the pork chops over and continue to cook until the pork chops are just cooked through, about 3 minutes more, depending on the thickness of your pork chops. Remove the pork chops to a plate. (Cooking time will vary between boneless and bone-in. Boneless do cook faster.)
4. Add the garlic to the pan and cook, stirring, for 1 minute. Add the soy sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar and crushed red pepper flakes, if using. Bring to a summer and cook for about 2 to 3 minutes to thicken up the sauce. (For gluten-free pork chops, use tamari instead of soy sauce.)
5. Put the pork chops back into the pan.
6. Cook, coating the pork chops with the sauce, for about 1 to 2 minutes, or until pork is cooked through and well glazed. Pork is cooked through at 145 degrees F internal temperature on a food thermometer.
7. Serve. Store any leftover pork chops and glaze in an airtight container in the fridge.
