What's better than topping a delicious dinner with a creamy delicious sauce? Not much, especially when said sauce is as flavorful as this one. Yes, this easy horseradish cream sauce recipe packs so much flavor! Hard to believe, since this simple recipe uses only four ingredients and comes together in just five minutes.
If you're a horseradish lover who wants to enjoy the taste of horseradish without its full strength, then you'll definitely want to check out this easy sauce recipe. By combining horseradish with cool and creamy ingredients like Greek yogurt and mayonnaise, you get the amazing flavor of horseradish without the potency that may leave you reaching for a tissue or a glass of water to wash down that burning sensation!
Horseradish is a spicy root vegetable in the mustard family that's been used medicinally around the globe for centuries. Its strong flavor is similar to wasabi, which will definitely help clear out your sinuses! Antioxidant-rich horseradish has anti-bacterial properties and may help reduce inflammation and improve respiratory health, among the other health benefits of horseradish.
This dreamy sauce recipe also features Greek yogurt, which adds so much creaminess along with the health benefits of Greek yogurt (it's a stealthy high-protein ingredient). Here are the four wholesome ingredients you'll need for this gluten-free sauce recipe: Greek yogurt (or sour cream), prepared horseradish, mayonnaise and apple cider vinegar. Just whisk the ingredients together in a mixing bowl then serve it alongside your favorite proteins. Such a simple and delicious vegetarian recipe!
Serve this flavorful sauce as a topping on just about any protein, like beef or prime rib. We enjoyed it on top of a corned beef dinner and it was out of this world. Best corned beef and cabbage ever, thanks to the sauce. It was also perfect for dunking the vegetables; everyone cleaned their plates!
