Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 15.5 ounces (1 can) sloppy joe sauce
- 8 ounces (1 roll) refrigerated crescent rolls
- 1 cup grated American or cheddar cheese (or your favorite)
Here's how to make it:
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet until browned and cooked through, about 5 minutes. (Drain your meat if there's a lot of fat.) Add the sloppy joe sauce and stir well. Heat through. Turn off the heat.
- Roll out the crescent dough and press to seal perforations Cut into 20 to 24 small squares. (Squares should fit into the mini muffin cups and come up the sides.)
- Press the dough into mini muffin tins that have been sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. (You could use regular muffin tins. You will get about eight appetizers.)
- Fill each cup with some of the meat mixture.
- Top with some cheese. (You could use a package of processed American cheese squares if preferred.)
- Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven for about 15 minutes, or until the crescents are golden and the cheese melted. Serve hot. (You could garnish with some fresh parsley.) Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.
