Spice blends are your secret ingredient for quick, easy and delicious meals. One of my favorite spice blends is Kinder's Caramelized Onion Butter Seasoning. After making delicious caramelized onion butter potatoes and caramelized onion butter baked chicken thighs with it, the next on my list was pork chops. This crunchy caramelized onion butter pork chops recipe is fantastic – and on the table in about 15 minutes.
You only need four ingredients to make this high-protein, shortcut recipe. Here is your short shopping list for this pork dinner: bone-in pork chops, flour (you can use all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour), Kinder's Caramelized Onion Butter Seasoning (the seasoning blend is gluten-free) and butter for frying. The pork chops cook up, depending on thickness, in about 10 minutes.
The caramelized onion butter seasoning adds so much buttery, oniony flavor to the pork chops, and the flour helps create a crunchy crust on the outside of the chops. These juicy pork chops are delicious for dinner with your favorite side dishes. I served mine with magic broccoli and a salad.
And a disclaimer that this is not a sponsored post. I was not given the product by the company or paid to promote it. I just loved the spice blend!
Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 15 minutes
Servings: 2
Ingredients
- 2 bone-in pork chops
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour
- 1 tablespoon Kinder's Caramelized Onion Butter Seasoning
- 1 tablespoon butter
Here's how to make it:
- Stir together the flour and caramelized onion butter seasoning in a small bowl or on a plate. Season the pork chops with black pepper, if desired. You can also season with salt, but check the ingredients on your seasoning blend to see if it already contains salt.
- Heat the butter in a skillet over medium heat. Dredge the pork chops in the seasoned flour. You could use olive oil instead of butter, or a combination of both.
- Place the pork chops in the hot butter and cook until golden on the bottom, about 3 to 4 minutes, depending on the thickness of your pork chops.
- Flip the pork chops over and continue to cook until golden and cooked through. Pork is cooked through at 145 degrees F internal temperature on a food thermometer.
- Remove and let the chops rest a couple of minutes before serving. This recipe can easily be doubled to serve four.
