Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Total Time: 5 minutes
Servings: 4
Ingredients
- 4 ripe bananas, peeled, sliced and frozen
- 4 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons cold almond milk (or your favorite milk)
Here's how to make it:
- Put the frozen banana chunks into a blender or food processor.
- Add the cocoa powder, vanilla extract and almond milk. Blend until smooth. (Feel free to use the milk of your choice in this recipe.)
- Serve immediately, or pour the mixture into a freezer-safe container.
- Freeze for a couple of hours until it firms up, then serve. (The consistency of nice cream is similar to soft-serve ice cream. If you prefer it to be more firm, then allow it to set for a couple of hours in the freezer before serving.)
- Store leftover nice cream in an airtight container in the freezer. (For nice cream that has been frozen for several hours or overnight, allow to thaw at room temperature for a few moments before scooping and serving.)
