With two freezers full of ground beef, I'm always looking for new ways to cook it. This ground beef recipe is not only quick and easy, but a budget-friendly recipe with six simple pantry ingredients that cooks in one pan.
This rich ground beef gravy recipe with mashed potatoes is a hearty meal that takes 15 minutes to make. You probably have all the ingredients in a your fridge and pantry to throw this downhome country dinner together tonight. Here is what you need to grab: ground beef, onion, garlic, flour, a can of beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. The ground beef, onion and garlic cook up in a skillet before the flour is added along with the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce. Season with black pepper and it's ready to be ladled over mashed potatoes.
The brown gravy with tender pieces of beef is perfect over creamy mashed potatoes. I made mashed Yukon gold potatoes, but whatever kind you enjoy will be a delicious bed for the beefy gravy. If you're really in a hurry, grab a bag of frozen mashed potatoes.
My husband has already requested this high-protein recipe again. Now that's a winning dinner! (Check out the health benefits of protein.)
Serve this beef and gravy dinner with your favorite side dishes. I served mine with southern yellow squash and onions.
