It's every bit as delicious as the broccoli cheese pie and the cheesy cauliflower pie – without the pie crust. This is helpful if you're watching your carbs or calories, as many of us are these days.
Here's your short shopping list for this amazing vegetarian dinner recipe: lots of fresh broccoli, heavy whipping cream, eggs, low-fat ricotta cheese, cheddar cheese, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, turmeric and paprika. The ingredients are incorporated then poured into a casserole dish. You bake the casserole until it's golden on the outside, and solid but creamy on the inside.

Ingredients
- 8 cups fresh broccoli, chopped
- 1 1/3 cups heavy whipping cream
- 5 eggs
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
Recipe Notes
- If you don't have heavy whipping cream, you can use half and half.
- For best results, allow to cool about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days and reheat in the microwave or oven.
- This recipe can be frozen for up to three months.
Here's how to make it:
- Put chopped broccoli in a microwave-safe bowl.
- Cover with a wet paper towel. To steam the broccoli, microwave it for about 8 minutes, or until crisp-tender.
- In a large mixing bowl, add the heavy cream, eggs, cheeses and seasonings. Season with salt and pepper, to taste. Mix to combine.
- Add the steamed broccoli to the mixture and stir until thoroughly incorporated.
- Pour the mixture into a 13x9-inch casserole dish that's been sprayed with cooking spray.
- Bake in a preheated 375-degree F oven for 35 minutes or until golden and firm.
- Remove from oven and allow to cool for at least 10 minutes before serving.
