One of the world's best sources of antioxidants, berries help protect your cells from damage by free radicals. Berries are high in fiber and nutrients, and they can help with cholesterol, inflammation, blood pressure and blood sugar. Bananas are loaded with potassium and may help lower your risk of stroke, among the many other health benefits of bananas. All that nutrition makes this easy, delicious frozen yogurt a healthy snack recipe you'll want to make again and again.

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Chill Time: 4 hours
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Total Time: 4 hours and 10 minutes
Servings: 6
Ingredients
- 1 cup fresh blueberries (you could use frozen blueberries)
- 1 cup fresh raspberries (you could use frozen raspberries)
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, chopped (you could use frozen strawberries)
- 1 banana (you could use a frozen banana)
- 12 ounces vanilla, blueberry, raspberry or strawberry yogurt
- 2 tablespoons honey
Here's how you make it:
- Put all the ingredients into a stand mixer or a blender. I used a stand mixer because I wanted a chunkier result, to taste the bits of fruit. A blender will provide a smoother sorbet. (You can use dairy-free yogurt if you prefer a dairy-free version of this recipe. You can use Greek yogurt if you want a creamier frozen yogurt texture. You can add a teaspoon of lemon juice or a teaspoon of vanilla, if desired, but those are optional.)
- Mix or blend for about 3 minutes, or until you reach your desired consistency.
- Pour the sorbet mixture into a loaf pan or other freezable container.
- Freeze for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Serve sorbet in your favorite ice cream bowls and top with whipped cream or additional berries, if desired.
