Easter is the time to make fun food snacks. At Christmas we make reindeer food to feed the reindeers and the humans, so I wondered why we weren't feeding the bunnies (and humans) at Easter? This fun bunny bait snack mix recipe is so quick and easy to make. It's the perfect sweet treat to take or serve at Easter and spring get-togethers. It's reindeer food with a spring twist!
The sweet white chocolate snack mix recipe is made with mini pretzels, Cheerios, Corn Chex or Rice Chex cereal, dry roasted peanuts, spring-colored M&Ms, vanilla chips and vegetable oil. Combine the pretzels, cereals, peanuts and M&Ms in a large bowl or baking dish. If you don't have a really large container, you may have to do this in two batches. Melt the vanilla chips and oil together in the microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each, until smooth and melted. Pour the melted white chocolate over the dry ingredients and stir until everything is coated. Pour onto parchment paper or aluminum foil in a layer and let it dry. Once dry, break up the sweet mix and put it into an airtight container.

Ingredients
- 10 ounces (1 package) mini pretzel twists
- 5 cups Cheerios
- 5 cups Rice Chex or Corn Chex (or a combination)
- 2 cups salted or lightly salted peanuts
- 1 pound (16 ounces) pastel M&Ms
- 24 ounces (2 bags) vanilla chips
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Here's how you make it:
- Combine the pretzels, both cereals, peanuts and M&Ms in a large bowl. Toss to combine. If you don't have a really large bowl, you can use a couple 13x9-inch baking pans to mix the ingredients.
- Put the vanilla chips and vegetable oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave about 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds, until completely melted.
- Pour the melted chocolate over the cereal.
- Mix until everything is coated with the chocolate. Pour mixture onto aluminum foil and allow to cool.
- When cool, break into pieces. Store the snack mix in airtight containers. I have a big pickle jar that I put my bunny bait in.
