My boys love donuts. We especially like to support our local donut shop. However, it’s both pricey and not particularly close to us so we don’t go all that often. Lucky for us, we also have an air fryer, which we love. My husband is always suggesting that we use the air fryer more, while I’m more skeptical. It turns out, he’s right (please don’t tell him!). This cinnamon-sugar air fryer donut recipe is so amazing!
This air fryer donut hole recipe is better and so easy to make. In under 20 minutes, you’ll have delicious cinnamon donut holes (this is quicker than it takes us to get to the donut shop!). If you ask my sons, these air fryer donut holes made with biscuits are the best thing ever, especially when they have friends spend the night. Donuts make the best breakfast for sleepovers! Of course, if you make this for your family plus friends, you may need to make two batches.
Here is your shopping list for this air fryer recipe: a can of refrigerated biscuits, butter, granulated sugar and ground cinnamon. Short and sweet!

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 12 minutes
Cook Time: 8 minutes
Total Time: 20 minutes
Servings: 20+
Ingredients
- 8 ounces (1 can) refrigerated biscuit, separated, cut into pieces and smooshed into a ball shape
- 4 tablespoons butter, melted (divided)
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Here's how to make it:
- Put the biscuit balls in a single layer in the air fryer. (You will probably have to do this in batches. Don't overcrowd the air fryer.) Brush with a little melted butter.
- Cook at 350 degrees F for 8 minutes, tossing the dough halfway through.
- Combine the cinnamon and sugar in a plastic zipper bag or shallow bowl. Dip the cooked donut holes into melted butter then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture. Repeat with remaining dough.
