To make this gluten-free, low-sodium broccoli recipe you will need fresh broccoli florets, garlic, honey, lemons for juicing, white wine vinegar, water and olive oil.

This is a great side dish recipe with chicken, pork or beef. This vegetarian recipe fits in well with the Mediterranean Diet and could easily be doubled for larger groups.

  • 4 teaspoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon white wine vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, pressed or finely minced
  • 2 cups fresh broccoli florets

  1. Whisk together the olive oil, water, vinegar, lemon juice, honey and garlic. Season with salt and pepper. 
  2. Add the broccoli and stir to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour before serving.
