Start the recipe by putting onions and garlic into a baking pan. Season with salt and pepper and sprinkle with flour. The flour will help thicken the sauce as it bakes. Put the chicken onto top of the onions. Bake the chicken in the oven for about one hour. As the chicken bakes, the onions caramelize and create a thin gravy. No fuss, no muss.

Ingredients
- 6 bone-in chicken pieces, skin on (chicken leg quarters work well)
- 1 large onion, sliced
- 5 cloves garlic, rough chopped
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour or gluten-free flour
Here's how to make it:
- Put the onions and garlic on the bottom of a baking pan. Season with salt and pepper. Sprinkle with the flour. (For easier cleanup, line the baking pan with aluminum foil.)
- Season the chicken with salt and pepper and place on top of the onions. (Use whatever chicken pieces your family enjoys for this easy family dinner. You could throw in some herbs from the garden for a little freshness.)
- Bake in a preheated 350-degree F oven until chicken is cooked through, about 50 minutes to 1 hour, depending on size of chicken pieces. (Internal temperature should be 165 degrees F on a food thermometer.) Store the leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to four days.
