Best Oven-baked Meatballs Recipe: A Basic Meatball Recipe for All Your Favorite Recipes (Plus How to Freeze Them)

Everyone seems to have their favorite meatball recipe – and they rarely want to share it! We're sharing ours. This easy ground beef meatball recipe bakes in the oven and can be used right away or frozen for later.

Cuisine: American
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 15 to 20 minutes
Total Time: 20 to 25 minutes

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan
  • 3 tablespoons ketchup

Here's how to make it:

  1. Combine all the ingredients in a bowl. Season with salt and pepper. Mix to combine.
  2. Shape into meatballs and place into a baking pan.
  3. Bake in a preheated 400-degree F oven for about 15 to 20 minutes. Serve immediately with your favorite sauce.
  4. To freeze, cool the meatballs, put them onto a cookie sheet and freeze. Once frozen, store them in freezer bags
