Famous KFC Fried Chicken Copycat Recipe Is Finger Lickin' Good by 30Seconds Food

Ingredients
- 2 whole chickens, cut into pieces
- oil, for frying
Seasoning
- 2 cups flour
- 2 teaspoons salt
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried thyme
- 1 1/2 teaspoons dried basil
- 4 tablespoons paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 tablespoon celery salt
- 2 tablespoons garlic salt
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon dry mustard
- 3 tablespoons white pepper
- 1 tablespoon ground ginger
- 1 tablespoon MSG (optional)
Here's how to make it:
- Combine all of the seasoning ingredients together. Mix well to thoroughly combine.
- Put some water into a bowl and the flour spice mix into another large bowl. Dip the chicken pieces into the water and then into the seasoned flour. Set on a wire rack or wax paper for about 15 minutes.
- Fill a large pot or deep fryer with oil. Preheat the oil to 345 degrees F.
- Put a few pieces of the chicken (pick ones about the same size) and cook until browned and cooked through (180 degrees F internal temperature), about 8 to 15 minutes depending on size of chicken. Remove to a wire rack or put on paper towels. Repeat with remaining chicken.
