One-Pan Candied Sweet Potatoes Recipe Frees Up Oven Space

Sweet potatoes are a must on your Thanksgiving menu. Sweet potatoes may take third seat on Thanksgiving – but only to the turkey and pumpkin pie. This easy candied sweet potato recipe doesn't require an oven, which we all know is important when cooking a big meal.

To make this low-sodium sweet candied sweet potatoes you will need fresh sweet potatoes, brown sugar, an orange for juicing and zesting, water, butter, fresh ginger, ground cinnamon and nutmeg. The sweet potatoes cook in one pan, so less dishes to wash, too.

Serve these vegetarian and gluten-free sweet potatoes as a side dish with chicken, pork, beef, holiday ham or turkey or your favorite dinner.
