Halloween Rice Krispies® Treats Recipe: Marshmallow Cereal Snacks Get a Spooky Makeover by 30Seconds Food
Halloween has sneaked up on us! If you need Halloween treat quick for Halloween night, here's how to give marshmallow cereal treats a spooky makeover!
Make a batch of classic Rice Krispies® treats and then let your kids get them Halloween ready with just a couple of ingredients. This is sure to be a new Halloween family tradition. To make this sweet and simple Halloween snack recipe, you will need butter, marshmallows, crispy rice cereal, black and white cookie frosting and edible eyes.
This easy dessert recipe is a gluten-free tried and true fan favorite!

- 3 tablespoons butter
- 1 package (10 ounces) marshmallows or 4 cups mini marshmallows
- 6 cups Rice Krispies® cereal
- black cookie frosting
- white cookie frosting
- edible eyes

- You could cut the cereal treats out with Halloween cookie cutters.
- If you don't have edible eyes, draw the eyes on with the cookie frosting.
- Store the cereal treats in an airtight container.
Here's how to make it:
- Melt the butter in a pot. Add the marshmallows and cook until melted. Pour in the cereal. Stir until combined. Pour into a 13x9-inch baking pan and allow to cool.
- Using a sharp knife or your favorite Halloween cookie cutters, cut into shapes (pumpkin, tombstone or rectangle for the mummy).
- Using the black cookie frosting, draw eyes for the pumpkin and write "RIP" on the tombstone.
- For the mummy, draw bandages with the white cookie frosting, add a "scar" with the black icing and add edible eyes. If you don't have edible eyes, use a small piece of marshmallow and some black cookie icing.
