20-Minute Ground Beef & Potato Taco Meat Recipe: Authentic on a Budget by Donna John

Take your tacos up a (homemade) notch by making this easy beef and potatoes taco recipe. You can just as easily add a package of taco seasoning mix if you're in a rush after cooking the potato and browning the ground beef.
Serve this tasty taco filling recipe in crispy taco shells or flour tortillas with your favorite taco toppings.

Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 large potato, diced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 teaspoons ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
Here's how to make it:
- Heat the oil in a skillet. Add the potatoes, season with salt and pepper, and cook, covered, about 10 minutes. Uncover and continue to cook until tender and browned. Remove from pan.
- Add the ground beef, onion, garlic, cumin, oregano, salt and pepper, to taste. Cook until meat is browned and cooked through. Stir in the potatoes and warm through.
Note: Is using taco seasoning, add the recommended amount of water on the package.
