4-Ingredient Guacamole Recipe Is So Much Better Than Store Bought by Heather Holter

I love guacamole, but I don't like spending a lot on pre-made dips. And the packets you can add to avocados just don't taste the best. Thinking there had to be a better way to make this crave-able appetizer, I figured out a super simple recipe for my own homemade guacamole.
I don't want to brag, but my easy guacamole recipe tastes amazing! I love this homemade guac dip so much that I can eat half of it by myself as a healthy snack in just one sitting. Hope you like it as much as I do!
Cuisine: Mexican
Prep Time: 10 minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes
Total Time: 10 minutes
Servings: 2 to 4
Ingredients
- 2 ripe avocados
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon Morton's Nature's Seasons seasoning salt or fine sea salt
Here's how to make it:
- Cut avocados in half. Remove pit. Scoop out avocados from skin. Put them in a small mixing bowl.
- Mash avocados with a fork for chunkier guacamole, or whip with an electric hand mixer for smooth creamy guacamole. (I prefer the fork because it is easier, less time consuming and less cleanup.)
- Add spices and lemon juice. Mix with a fork. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Serve with toasted bread or tortilla chips.
