Servings: Makes 6 8-ounce jars
Ingredients
- 3 pints strawberries, washed and hulled
- 5 cups sugar
- 1/3 cup lemon juice
Here’s how to make them:
- Put the strawberries and sugar in a large pot. Toss to coat and let it sit at room temperature for about 3 hours.
- Put the pot over medium heat and bring to a boil, stirring often.
- Add the lemon juice and continue to cook until thickened and syrup-like, about 10 to 15 minutes.
- Spoon the jam into sterilized jars.
- Process in boiling water for about 10 minutes.
