It was a sad day when a certain establishment (hint: it's closed on Sunday) took cole slaw off the menu. Luckily, they shared the much-loved Chick-fil-A coleslaw recipe with the world. And luckily, it’s just as good – and you can make it any day you like, including Sunday. Nope, this isn't a copycat recipe! It's the actual cole slaw recipe shared by Chick-fil-a.
This is my new go-to cole slaw, even over my grandma's cole slaw recipe. (Sorry, Grandma.) I usually double it for family get-togethers (and have even tripled it!). No matter how much I make, there is never any leftover. Plus I get recipe requests constantly. But that's a good thing, right?
Here is your shopping list for this cole slaw recipe: two bags of finely shredded cabbage, carrots, vinegar, granulated sugar, mustard powder, salt and mayonnaise. Check out the health benefits of cabbage and the health benefits of carrots.
I like my cole slaw fine, so I pour the cabbage out onto a cutting board and run a knife through it to get it really fine. You could also put it into a bowl and use your kitchen shears. I also like to add black pepper.
Serve this simple cole slaw as a side dish for dinner or take it to family get-togethers, cookouts or potlucks. You are sure to get recipe requests.
