When I was asked to bring a dessert to a family party, I instantly knew I wanted to make chocolate brigadeiro. But, to create a beautiful platter, I needed something else. Enter coconut brigadeiro...
You'll need:
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup coconut milk
- flaked coconut
Here's how to make it:
- Combine the butter, sweetened condensed milk and coconut milk in a saucepan over low heat. Stir constantly until the mixture thickens and is firm enough to stay together and not spread when stirred.
- Pour onto a buttered cookie sheet or plate. Chill about 1 hour.
- Roll the chilled mixture into balls, then roll into the coconut flakes.
