Ramen Baked Pork Tenderloin Recipe With Savory Roasted Potatoes Is What's for Dinner (5 Ingredients) by Donna John
The obsession for dry ramen seasoning continues. After making my ramen whole roasted chicken and crispy baked chicken ramen recipes I moved on to pork. Who doesn't love traditional tonkotsu ramen (aka pork ramen)? Instead of a bowl of brothy pork ramen I decided to season a pork tenderloin with ramen seasoning and add potatoes. This ramen baked pork tenderloin recipe with roasted potatoes is a delicious dinner that is so easy to make.

This baked pork recipe only requires a handful of ingredients. Here is your short gluten-free shopping list for this delicious high-protein Japanese-inspired dinner: a pork tenderloin (read about the health benefits of pork), Yukon gold potatoes (check out the health benefits of potatoes), onion, green onions and dry ramen seasoning. The potatoes bake first, then the seasoned pork tenderloin joins the party. In about 40 minutes (ovens vary), you'll have a delicious, savory high-protein pork dinner on the table.
Pro Tip: There are several ramen seasoning blends on the market. This recipe was created using Ramen Buddy, which has a deep, rich and savory flavor but is not overly salty. Before you season the pork for this recipe, be sure to taste your brand. If it's salty, adjust the amount of seasoning you use. Disclaimer: I am not being paid by Ramen Buddy to endorse or use their product. I simply love this seasoning!
Serve the sliced pork with the potatoes for dinner with your favorite side dishes. I added some roasted broccoli that I put into the oven at the same time as the pork.
Cuisine: American / Japanese
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook Time: 40 minutes
Total Time: 45 minutes
Servings: 2 to 3
Ingredients
- 1 pound small Yukon gold potatoes, cut into half or fourths
- 1 small onion, cut into wedges
- 2 - 3 green onions, sliced, plus more for garnish
- 1 pork tenderloin (about 1 pound)
- 1 - 2 teaspoons ramen seasoning, or to taste (I used Ramen Buddy)
- 1/4 - 1/3 cup water (optional)
Here's how to make it:
- Put the potatoes, onion and green onion into an oiled baking dish or ovenproof skillet. (I used a cast iron skillet.) Bake in a 375-degree F oven for 20 minutes.
- While the potatoes partially bake, season the pork tenderloin liberally with the ramen seasoning. Season with salt and pepper, if desired. (My seasoning has salt and pork is naturally salty, so I did not add any additional salt.)
- After 20 minutes, put the pork tenderloin on top of the potatoes. Pour the water into the pan, if using. (You don't have to use the water. I put it in so I would have a bit of pan drippings. Pork tenderloin is very lean and does not release much fat.)
- Bake another 15 to 20 minutes, or until the pork is just cooked through. Pork is cooked through at 145 degrees F internal temperature on a food thermometer. (I used a remote food thermometer that I inserted before baking the tenderloin.) Do not overbake!
- Let the pork rest a few minutes before slicing and serving with the potatoes. Garnish with green onions, if desired. Store any leftover pork and potatoes in an airtight container in the fridge and reheat in the microwave.
