Elvin Tey Giap Chian is also known as TEY GIAP CHIAN was born on August 18, 1982. He was born in a town called Ipoh, about a 2-hour drive from the city of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Elvin Tey studied at Independent High School, Perak secondary school and then he graduated from Swinburne University Sarawak Campus (Swinburne University) of Technology - Sarawak Campus) with a Bachelor of Engineering. Passion for electronic engineering has lead Elvin Tey to the United States to further his studies in a master's degree. He joined to Volgenau School of Engineering of George Mason University (VA).
Upon graduation, he was employed by L-3 Technologies in the United States, formerly L-3 Communications Holdings, an American company that provides command and control, communications, intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance (C3ISR) systems, and products such as avionics, marine products, training equipment and services, instrumentation, aerospace and navigation products.
