Don't Waste Your Money on New Toys for Kids: 5 Places to Buy Toys Cheap! Fun With Dad

Have you noticed how much new toys cost? It’s crazy how much they charge for toys at Toys R UsTarget and Walmart. I wanted to buy my daughter a Power Wheels ride-on for her birthday, one with two seats so she and her little brother could cruise around the neighborhood and cause trouble. At the toy store they cost like $350 for the simple basic Barbie Jeep. The police car was $500 by the time you buy all the parts. I know people who have paid that much for their real cars. It’s just crazy that someone would pay that much for a toy.

Do you buy your kids new toys? I don't. Here’s where I buy my children’s toys:

  • Goodwill, Savers and at thrift shops.
  • Craigslist. I have found some good deals and can always save a lot of money this way.
  • Garage sales.
  • Flea markets.

My kids don’t care if their toys don’t come in a box!
