Unexplained Acne Breakouts? Here's How to Wash Your Makeup Brushes for Clearer Skin Skin Care

Old makeup, dust, debris, bacteria. Do those sound like things you want to put on your face? If not, make sure to clean your makeup brushes! It's best to clean brushes once a week (or whenever you can).

I'll be honest, it's more like once every two months at my house. However, every time I clean my brushes, I am reminded of how fast and easy it is to do!

You'll need:

Here's how to clean them:

  1. Rinse bristles under warm water.
  2. Swirl brush in a solution of 1 teaspoon shampoo and 1/4 cup water.
  3. Massage bristles and rinse again with warm water.
  4. Pat with a clean towel and lay flat to dry.

Voila! Your face will thank you!
