Train lovers will literally be in paradise when they jump on board the oldest operating railroad in America. Located in Paradise, Pennsylvania, the Strasburg Rail Road takes you on a 9-mile, 45-minute trip through Lancaster County.

Ride first-class, dining, coach or open-air cars while taking in the breathtaking views. This historic steam locomotive will take you through 2,500 acres of Amish farmlands. Back at the station there is a cafe, ice cream shop, gift shop and a pint-sized pufferbelly train for tots.

Strasburg Rail Road also hosts special events including an Easter Bunny train, The Great Train Robbery, wine and cheese train, Day Out with Thomas, and a Christmas train. It's wholesome fun for the whole family!

How fun is this?! My dad is a huge rail fan, so we grew up taking lots of trains (including from Illinois to Florida) and going to rail museums. Thank you for sharing this fun spot, Tiffany Zook !
