Husky Park in Wheeling, Illinois: Don't Let the Rain Keep You Away From This Fun Park! Chicago Traveling With Kids

Husky Park in Wheeling, Ill., has two different types of play equipment – one for children from 2 to 5 years old and one for kids 5 to 12 years old. Both of my kids played on both sets of equipment. The only issue we have at this park is in the summer the special ground covering gets hot, but this a great park to go to after it rains. Why? Because you don’t have to worry about kids getting muddy if that’s something you worry about!

This park has a cool spider web climber that my children love to climb on, and also a green lily pad climber. And monkey bars, of course! My kids also enjoy taking a ride down the cool roller slide.

The only disadvantage to this park is that the only bathroom is a port-o-potty, which my daughter refuses to use. But sometimes at the nearby school they will let you bring the children to the bathroom. Also, there are only two swings at this park, so if it is busy you will have to wait, but most of the time we go to Husky Park when it’s not that crowded.

Husky Park is located at 1200 Lee Street in Wheeling, Ill.
