Long Airplane Flight With Kids? Little Surprise Bags Go a Long Way! Traveling With Kids

Airplane travel can be challenging with kids, especially when you’ve got a long flight. When we fly with our kids, I pack them each a “surprise” bag filled with little toys, books and games. Each surprise bag has small new toys or activities like:

  • sticker books
  • modeling clay
  • small board books
  • coloring books

The key is to take each activity out one at a time to keep kids occupied during those long hauls. As an added bonus, I include some licorice chews (for older kids) to snack on during take off and landing, since chewing helps reduce the pressure in their ears.

Love it! When my older two were little and I flew a lot since my husband was overseas I always packed new things for them to play. Awesome idea for new moms! Thanks for sharing Margaret Steck :)
