Math Games for Kids: Try This Fun Speed Limit Game on Your Next Road Trip!

When I'm driving, my kids get to tell me the speed limits – and then we do math. Here's an example:

  • "Speed limit 25, Mom!"
  • "If I'm going 20, am I going faster or slower than the speed limit?"
  • "If the speed limit is 25, and I'm going 20, then how many more miles can I go?"

My kids love this "back seat driving," and it's helped them catch on to these basic math concepts. Plus, my kids turn out to be much more delightful back seat drivers than my husband. He just complains about my driving in general!

And for children who is older than described in the tip, can be possible to do plus and minus operations.
