Tossing and Turning All Night
As I laid down on my bed,
Trying to get some sleep,
The critters that I counted,
Did not resemble sheep!
I went into the kitchen,
Snacks had always worked before,
But this time I had to pace
Back and forth, across the floor.
I decided to read a book
But that was a mistake,
Instead of putting me asleep,
It just kept me awake.
I turned on Jimmy Kimmel
My eyes began to sag,
Until the audience applauded
For a very silly gag.
“So what if I didn’t get my rest?
It wouldn’t do any harm.”
Wait, the last thing I remembered
Was the sound of my alarm!
