Wow, what a powerful concept, Gail Harris ! Never thought about it this way. But yes, we need to be able to be good parents without losing ourselves. My work helps me with that!

When I was raising my children, I was divorced and I worked full time, between running a household, full time primary parent and work, left little time for me, but I learnt the hard way, if I don’t take care of myself, the entire house of cards I was balancing, would come falling down. So , Mother’s taking care of yourself is your first priority, it’s not being selfish, it’s your 1st job, not your children, because if your not good to yourself, you won’t be there for them. That includes ME time to refresh your soul. On a personal note I could never have done it or gotten through it without a lot of help each and every day from my soul mate, Jesus Christ, to whom my 3 successful, caring adult children and now 3 healthy grandchildren (4 if you count my Calleigh in Heaven) would not have become my greatest achievement and accomplishment in life. When you have given and done all you have, he’s only a prayer away.

Thanks for your reply Lynne. We must take care of ourselves first. ❤️❤️❤️
