With the recent outbreak of measles, many parents are concerned for their child’s safety, especially if the child has not been vaccinated. If a child is younger than 12 months when the vaccine is routinely given, it’s possible to have it administered at 6 months if the child is high risk. 

Talk to your doctor about whether this is right for your child. The child would still need to have the vaccine repeated during the recommended interval, for a total of three doses. If your child is older, he or she can still be vaccinated.
