Snuggling in bed with a furry friend can be wonderful – if you don’t have allergies. If you do have allergies, it can be miserable. Here are some things to keep in mind:
- Try to keep pets out of the bedrooms of people who have pet allergies.
- If you have a pet and a family member with a pet allergy, you can try to using a HEPA room filter, but only in rooms without carpets or upholstered furniture (which can act as reservoirs for allergens).
- Air filters only filter out airborne allergens, and can create currents that mobilize pet allergens that have settled on furniture and carpet.
