Tummy Time: 4 Different Tummy-Time Positions That Benefit Baby's Motor Skills by Christy Garrett

It's important that infants spend time on their tummies to help develop motor skills. But some babies don't enjoy spending time on the floor during tummy time. If that's the case with your baby, you can try these alternative positions:
- Hold your baby in your arms tummy down while you support him.
- Lay your baby on your chest while you lie down or recline.
- Prop your baby up on a Boppy or nursing pillow.
- If you have an exercise ball, lay your baby on it while you hold him securely, and move it back and forth.
Never force Baby to enjoy tummy time, and always supervise for safety!
