My toddler is becoming increasingly interested in my daily activities. For me, laundry, dishes and dinner prep aren't that interesting. To him, they are a new adventure! I have him help with my "chores" as much as possible. His favorite thing to do is to operate the salad spinner. It helps me get dinner ready and entertains him at the same time – BONUS! He also assists in:
- putting away folded socks
- handing plastic dishware to me from the dishwasher
Although things might take twice as long, they provide an opportunity for him to help and follow directions.
