Looking for a new way to hog dog? My husband loves chili cheese hot dogs. Yes, they're good, but I am always looking for new ways to make things. Enter this completo, or Chilean-style, hot dog recipe. Served by street venders in Chile, this is what I would call a loaded hot dog!
A Chilean hot dog starts with a bun (sometimes they're much larger than our American buns) and a wiener. Simple enough. But then the magic happens. The hot dog is topped with chopped tomatoes, onions or sauerkraut, mashed avocado and then finished with the condiment of your choice, usually mayonnaise (most popular), mustard or ketchup.
Here is your shopping list for this hot dog recipe: wieners, tomatoes, avocado, onion, ketchup, mustard, mayonnaise and hot dog buns. You can either grill or boil the hot dogs, whichever way your family prefers.
Why not try this recipe for lunch or dinner? The Chilean recipe is a fun way to learn about different countries, cuisines and cultures!
